Hi Jeremy, It depends on the motherboard. Some motherboards may not support this feature, so no software will be able to monitor it. The ipmi-dcmi tool could also provide this information to you, but only if the motherboard vendor supports DCMI. In FreeIPMI's ipmi-oem there are several power consumption extensions that Dell has on their poweredge motherboards, but they are only for Dell motherboards.
Hope that helps, Al On Fri, 2011-03-04 at 07:58 -0800, Jeremy Li wrote: > Hi, everyone > I am a new user to freeipmi, how should i do if i want to know how much > energy a server consumed. > Thank you! > _______________________________________________ > Freeipmi-users mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/freeipmi-users -- Albert Chu [email protected] Computer Scientist High Performance Systems Division Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory _______________________________________________ Freeipmi-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/freeipmi-users
