FreeBSD Port

Is anybody working on a freebsd port yet??  I have been playing with it
but I really am not a programmer.  I have patches done up for the
configure.in file and the makefiles.  However when it comes down to the
actual code I am lost, and it is just guess work.  Anyway, if somebody
is working on a port could you let me know???
