A large number of people have responded to the request to run that TLB hack I wrote a while ago. In summary, all the Pentium+ chips run it fine, as do all AMD K6+ chips, as separate I&D TLB caches are needed. There were many duplicate reports, so I thought I'd better post the results I had here, and I'll update the web posting next. -Kevin CPU work? notes ======================================================================= 386 no (not expected to work, doesn't even have INVLPG) 486-DX66 no (not expected to work, has unified I&D TLB cache) Cyrix PR150+ no Cyrix PR200+ no Cyrix MediaGX233 no Cyrix M2 PR300 MX no Cyrix M2 333 no AMD K5 PR100 no IDT C6 200 no NexGen Nx586 100 no P 60 yes P 90 yes P SL 75 yes P 100 yes P 133 yes P 166 yes P 166 MMX yes P 200 yes P 200 MMX yes P 233 yes PPro 180 yes PPro 200 yes P2 233 MMX yes P2 266 yes P2 350 yes P2 400 yes P2 450 yes P2 Xeon 400 yes P2 Xeon 450 yes P3 450 yes P3 500 yes Celeron 300 yes Celeron 300A yes Celeron 333A yes Celeron 366 yes Celeron 400 yes Celeron 466 yes AMD K6-200 yes AMD K6-2 233 yes AMD K6-2 300 yes AMD K6-2 400 yes AMD K6-350 yes AMD K6-3 400 yes AMD K6-3 450 yes AMD K7(Athlon) yes IDT WinChip 200 yes
