PATCH: emulation frame

Hiho,
just I sent a patch for a little emulation frame to Ulrich, hoping
it comes into CVS tree soon.
I wrote no emulations, but due to prototypes and comments you can see
how to do that.
Next I take a closer look on Kevins fine paper...
