Okay, I love opportunities to test new software like this. However, after
reading the README I am just a wee bit hesitant to try freemware.
Particularly the following paragraph:

This code is extremely experimental, and will likely result in a system
crash, and who knows what other ill effects. Don't run it on a system with
any important data on it, and make liberal user of the sync command! Expect
to have to use the power button.

Should I take this for face value? Does this _really_ reflect the current
state of freemware? Am I going to be capable of trying to boot windows? Or
can I try without having to worry about loss of data?

Thanks for any replies.
