I'm running Win95, and have the same problem. When
"cfgclient" is run, it reports the following:
Couldn't find nodeAddress in .\freenet.ini
Couldn't find ListenPort in .\freenet.ini Not changing -serverAddress Couldn't find serverAddress in .\.fproxyrc and then freezes. The installation will not continue
until the DOS box is manually terminated.
The process then continues as normal, however the node does
not operate properly.
Incidentally, I experienced the same problem with
0.3.5
d.

Firstly, the
>installation process froze when a DOS box titled something beginning with >"cfg" (perhaps "cfgclient"?) and spewed some errors which would force the >ordinary user to conclude that the installation had failed. I note in the 0.3.5 release a dialog box appears saying that a port >had been found, however this did not happen in your 0.3.6 package. Last >(but not least), the node didn't seem to start up correctly as going to >the Freenet gateway page returned a "page not found". > >Are you sure that you only changed the freenet.jar file? |
