I don't really see it as an issue. It only is a problem when
doing the install on a machine like Alexander has (and there are
a lot of those). If the install is in smaller chunks it won't be
a problem.
Using a flat file will severly impact my 'coding on the fly'.
Gadfly is not an option as far as I know. It seems to have it's
place as a small fast SQL aware object database. Very memory
hungry though.
There will be an option to turn off coding on the fly for those
machines that can't handle the thrashing. On a moderate size
server this won't be a problem. In those areas of the world where
they don't have the luxury of 750MHZ SMP with 1GB RAM, I don't
think turning this off will be the greatest problem they face
each day.
