Debian-legal is a good site.  I monitor that as well.  However, I should be able
to answer your questions.  I'm a lawyer (specializing in intellectual property
issues) as wall as an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Computer Law (CyberLaw)
and a member of the FreePM development group.

As many people don't monitor debian-legal, and might be interested in the same
issues that you address, it might be helpful for you to address those questions
here.  You can always address debian-legal later for a second/third/fourth
opinion.
