You can include HTML markup to make your rendered note look
better.I also believe (haven't tried it) that you could create a
"Note Text Only" template with '\n' in it to cause a linebreak in
the raw note. This should be the same as pressing the RETURN key
in a <textarea>

As Dr. Caldwell suggested, you can use XHTML to facilitate
parsing without the markup displaying in your rendered note. I
know he has fought this problem a great deal and probably has the
best solution. Just let the raw text look 'raw'. It's a browser!

I can guarantee that if you include a Major Template inside a
Major Template it will explode all over your Encounter note. 
Besides you'll get an Excessive Recursion Exception. <s>

As you well know, you can do full text indexes in Zope. So, it
really should be easier taht in a RDBMS esp. using the template's
structured vocabulary.
