Have you verified that users *cannot* authenticate with 0.5? > anyone have any suggestions, or is this a bug in the latest release? No, it's a design intention. The SQL "authentication" has been removed, because it was duplicating existing code in the rlm_pap and rlm_chap modules. You should be able to authenticate users just fine without SQL in the 'authenticate' section. You WILL need to list SQL in the 'authorized' section. See the list archives for more information.
