But OS X is really Mach 3.0, which means the "FreeBSD" part of it is not
the same thing as what is implied by the above statement.

But OK, I'll agree, OS X is "like" FreeBSD, at least in the sense that
userland programs should for the most part be easily ported (as, obviously,
they are ... there's lots of software for OS X).
