I've tried it on two machines, one running SuSE 8.1 the other SuSE 8.2.

'host localhost' resolves correctly on both machines and /etc/hosts
contains the correct entry.

Prior to upgrading to freeradius-snapshot-20030625.tar.gz I had
freeradius-snapshot-20030619.tar.gz running which worked correctly.
Both were built from the same spec file which is the one
distributed with FreeRADIUS modified for the new location of the
dictionary files.
When using radtest/radclient from 20030619 on the machine to test
radiusd on a box running 20030625 it works. So it seems to me as if
something has changed with the newer radclient?

Regards,

Alan
