My point is EAP pass-through not the type! (So we agree but you do not see...)
Such nitpicking.  I did not mention md5 because it is IRRELEVANT to me! 
NOT ALL AP's PROVIDE EAP PASS-THROUGH FOR AUTH.
That was my point.
