we are doing our users file administration through another front end, which enters both automatic as well as manually edited entries to the users file. Every now and then, we have the problem that a typo in manual entries either stops freeradius itself, or disables the wrong entry. Neither is desirable. In all cases, freeradius was able to notice the problem and did so gracefully, leaving very helpful hints in the radius.log .
Is there a way of checking a users file in a test mode with a result code to see whether everything is fine, so our update script can stop from replacing a working config with one that is not?
