Hmm... I thought that FreeBSD supported the SO_BROADCAST socket option, where packets sent to 255.255.255.255 were sent as link layer broadcasts, too. You might also try 2.1.7. It does some DHCP operations a little better than 2.1.7. Or, maybe the code has to set the broadcast flag before binding to an IP address... Alan DeKok. - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe?
