Hello list, just another guy with the duplicate client problem. I got a service running, allowing customers to add their DSL-lines and use my freeradius to authenticate. It works fine, so far, but there is one problem : When a user adds his hardware using a dynamic IP from a special dyndns-service, it may happen, that there are duplicate IPs in the DB. This dyndns-service replies to DNS requests with his own IP if the hardware at the other end is not rechable. If there are two pieces of HW using this service and temporary turned off, they will both be added with the same IP, causing my server not to start. Is there a solution for this problem ? Is there a switch for FR to make it ignore duplicate entries ? In the given case, ignoring the offline hardware would be no disadvantage for the customer. And it would add some more reliability to my service. At the moment everybody may kill the server just by adding two hosts that are resolved to the same IP. My System : FR 2.1.10 on Debian Lenny TIA
