I'm not sure if there is a how-to as of yet but you should run http://www.livebsd.com/freesbie/after_freesbie_fixes.sh which will get the system up to speed and install the ports section etc. For more information on how to use the ports tree , see http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/ports.html . Once your up to speed with the script, visit the handbook at http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/cutting-edge.html for more information on how to use cvsup.
