Hi, I have a K6 2 400, 256 megs of ram, cd rom drive , 13 gig system disk and a 200 gig data disk.
I installed from a fresh FreeBSD 5.4 cd, fairly typical install, nothing crazy or weird. My 200 gig disk [western digital] does not get detected. [Doesn't show up in dmesg] Now, if I boot a FreeSBIE disc, the 200 gig drive is picked up and i can use it as per normal. I'm going to ask this question of the FreeBSD Questions guys specifially as well, but I'm wondering if there are any kernel issues you folks might know of that differ.. Thanks.
