Dan and I had a chat about this issue. I had to think on it but I
think Dan and I have agreed on a solution.

{some_conference_variable}-${strftime(%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S)}.wav"/>
or
<param name="auto-record" value="shout://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/$
{some_conference_variable}.mp3"/>
Does that sound sane to you?
