Maybe it is a race condition, I can't tell you from just such a basic description the code is complicated and I would have to reproduce it myself, but I can tell you one more time for good measure that you should use execute_complete events to tell when a command you tried to execute has finished and not poll the channel for a variable to be set because FreeSWITCH is an asynchronous application in the mode you are describing and you can never be sure of the timing.
