Technical people use acronyms too often and it ends up obscuring meaning. Witness the AMSAT mode letters, which ended up on U.S. license tests, and then AMSAT realized how silly they were and went to something more meaningful. "Mode J" is now "Mode V/U".
C2 is a fine abbreviation, but our material should spell out the whole name.
