I have just downloaded freedv to two of my computers, and think I have it working OK, but have not been able to hear anyone just yet. Codec2 / fdmdv has come a long way, fantastic work.
I am going to make some small gadgets for freedv testing, and first in line is a test generator i.e. a crystal on 14.31818, with a DBM, which should be able to send out the signal but DSB. This should work OK for testing, just neglecting one sideband. Good to bring to the ham meetings just to test software setup and interfacing. One thing on the wishlist would be input and output in I/Q format, that would open up for SDR experiments and SSB rather than DSB.
