The code from ST Microelectronics is going to need a bit of copyright
cleanup, though. They don't seem to have put a proper license on any of
it. Most of their files have no license at all, and the default in
copyright law is "all rights reserved" so this is a problem. There is
one file with a 6-line license that attempts to protect them from
liability but never gives anyone the right to copy, use, or create
derivative works of the code. Sigh.
If we had to, we could just write replacements. Asking them to fix it is
possible too.
