This is likely a pointer to some sort of bug. One nice thing about cross platform projects is they help you find obscure bugs when the code works on one platform and not on another. There are also some shut down bugs with XP, plus a bunch of little bugs/possible improvements. Yes, we really need some one with GUI & C (note not DSP) skills to help maintain FreeDV.
