Thanks Gullik, all useful feedback.

I intend to spend some of 2015 testing and tuning FreeDV and will 
hopefully address some of these issues.  Also planned are a more robust 
HF mode and a VHF mode, as well as the SM1000 and we will see continued 
integration into many other SDR projects via the FreeDV API.

List: I still have an urgent need for some one to help me with C coding. 
  Otherwise things will still happen eventually but more slowly.  Lots 
of great ideas and suggestions but only a couple of us doing all the 
work .......
