Hi all,

Now I have mode 2020 running on Debian 9.9 on a Pi,

I'm doing some Speaker to Mic tests with different Audio adapters

using the test file ./freedv-gui/wav/all_2020.wav

Playing ./freedv-gui/wav/all_2020.wav  on my PC, an i3 8100 through a C-Media

USB device then speaker  to the mic input to a SoundBlaster Play 3! on the Pi.

CPU usage on the Pi gets up to 80% (of one CPU) (there are five more).

This in [Spectrum] mode.

The GUI display on my Main PC (ssh -Y user@host)

The decoded audio

=============   only small bits.

Mode 700D with the same setup, almost 100% copy of

ve9qrp_700d_int1_fast_snr2dB.wav

Lockups in 2020 mode.

================ Though the Sync indicator is ON, often

there is no speaker audio. Also once I had a 100%CPU lockup.

FreeBeacon

======== Has the API changed such that "freebeacon" (with mods

to set the mode) will work?

Trials on my PCs (Intel), I'll do that and report in another email.

====== Hardware, my Pi ==========

RockPro64 with Debian 9.9 from mkfixit2001, fixed kernel 4.4.171

Some say, "It's NOT a Pi", well, it's only extra is a PCIe slot over the

"real" Pi3. Has Pi GPIO, HDMI, USB ports etc..
