Do you have a github and a groups.io account? That's where a lot of new projects get started. Groups is the new Yahoo I think.
The thing that helped the SM1000 was the Discovery Board which allowed algorithms to be developed and tested. The Google reflector and this one aren't really for developing projects, but updates are nice to read which point you to your development blog or groups reflector. https://groups.io Just some thoughts...
