That's great news, David. Will the SM1000 retain 1600 with the new v5firmware
update?
Thanks to both of you for all of your hard work. I shall reflash mySM1000 as
soon as time permits.
Best regards,
Gary, K7EK

 Hello List,

Mooneer K6AQ (with a little help from me) has been doing some fine work
on bringing the SM1000 firmware up to date. There have been quite a few
changes to the internals of codec 2 and the FreeDV API over the past 12
months, which meant we were due for some maintenance on the SM1000
firmware.

He has also added 700E to the list of modes supported by the SM1000,
and both 700D and 700E now have compression and a Tx band pass filter.

Here are the .bin and .dfu file for the new firmware:

  http://www.rowetel.com/downloads/codec2/smartmic/sm1000v5.bin
  http://www.rowetel.com/downloads/codec2/smartmic/sm1000v5.dfu

The latest (draft) documentation:

https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/blob/4686212c15a5ee753ac37700f31ed9263ac08d37/stm32/doc/sm1000_manual.md

... and the Pull Request which documents the development:

  https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/pull/206

Thanks,
David
