Hi David, FreeDV does in fact work on macOS! For recent releases ( https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/releases/tag/v1.8.4), simply download the FreeDV.dmg file and copy the FreeDV application inside it to the Applications folder on the dock. Note that you'll likely need to go to your security settings and allow it to run as the application is not currently signed.
