Now with 8-bit output, of course, I quickly tricked ftgrid into displaying SDF, see attached. The most obvious glitch is wrong FT_GlyphSlot->bitmap_left and ->bitmap_top. They need to be adjusted for the added spread padding. There are some artifacts to polish out too - not a big deal for the initial offering. Alexei
