Given the prevalence of GPLv2 and BSD licensed software used in 'cloud-based' products what are the concerns you have, after having comprehended both the GPLv2 and FTL licenses, that would prevent you from using Freetype in your commercial product?
FYI my Blackberry phone has a 'licensing' screen which notes that they use Freetype code and attributes the software license and copyright restrictions.
