Rob was working on a unified way to manage channel selection in different media player/recorders for 1.4. At the rate we're going, I wonder if it's easier to just convert the freevo representation (I believe using xawtv's convention) into an absolute frequency and pass that to the various apps (assuming they take frequency as an input).
