Updated freevo to the version available via the released emerge script - made some
minor changes to the install as noted above, basically cuts out a few steps making it
even easier. Now I have myself a DVB-T (digital TV card - TwinHan VisionPlus if you're
interested) - hopefully will get that running with Freevo & gentoo as soon as I can
arrange a decent aerial into the study! Cheers.

+Updated freevo to the version available via the released emerge script - made some
minor changes to the install as noted above, cutting out a few steps making it even
easier.
+
+The steps now are basically:
+ * make sure xmltv is running properly for you
+ * make sure your tv card works
+ * "emerge freevo"
+ * have a nap ;-)
+ * edit /etc/freevo/local_conf.py to suit
+ * edit /etc/conf.d/freevo to suit (ie I normally just run the record and webservers)
+Optional:
+ * create a tv_rec or similar script as noted above (you probably won't have to do
this - it's just my [EMAIL PROTECTED] sound card that has forced me to do this)
+ * put logo files into /tmp/freevo/xmltv/logos
+ * create cron job to run freevo tv_grab helper script ie "freevo tv_grab" which in
turn ensures that all the favourites are actually picked up and scheduled for
recording as they appear
+
+Now I have myself a DVB-T (digital TV card - Twin Han Vision Plus
http://www.twinhan.com/visiontv-1_6.htm if you're interested) - hopefully will get
that running with Freevo & gentoo as soon as I can arrange a decent aerial into the
study! Cheers.
