disregard this. It is not ivtv that is broken but by upgrading ivtv I managed to b****r up my xine hardware accelleration.

I will need to fix that first....

It seems to be an issue with the ivtv driver. I just tried 0.2.0rc3 and that had the startup issue less (50% of the time rather than always, however it had hickups later in viewing TV.

I guess sometimes frames get mutilated or lost. Will keep investigating.
