I was talking strictly about removing the pygame dependency from
pyimlib2.

I don't know what Dischi wants for Freevo.  I'm under the impression
that he wants to remove pygame as a dependency, but I could be on crack.

As far as my work goes, I simply don't care about Windows portability.
But I don't speak for the Freevo guys, nor do I really influence its
direction (unless I lure Dischi with my wacky ideas).

Yes, the pygame imagelib backend for mevas needs work.  You might submit
your code for this?
