Is this the same code found in Freevo 1.5.x? I haven't tried running 1.5.x under x86_64 yet, but on my 32-bit AMD FC5 box Freevo 1.5.4 works fine. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but aumix is deprecated in FC5, it relies on ALSA support (amixer) for sound control.
