It is? Strange, it should be way to old because it is a link to sf

That is correct. It is a private server hosting stuff for me and some
friends. For security reasons every interactive stuff has its own
chroot environment so that a bad php script in apache can't remove
freevo svn and a bug in the svn server can't delete my mail. As a side
effect, apache has no access to the svn itself.

See above. It is not impossible, but complicated. If there is no
reason why we need this, we won't create a hack to make ViewVC
possible.
