MPlayer 2:0.99+1.0pre8-0ubuntu8  it is the one you get when you apt-get mplayer in Ubuntu 6.10 The error is not on the vo xvmc (that IS supported), mplayer complains about scaling this codec to the movie/screen size. I did not get that error in my 1.5 year old setup that was on my machine earlier. However since xine is already there and does mpeg playing at hw accellerated speed quite well, so I gathered there is little point in spending time on this right now....
