Hi folks, as Duncan asked me to, I have added a feature request for the gphoto plugin. It is named "[ 1838260 ] gphoto plugin for digicams" I have also tried to upload the plugin itself (coding), but I've got an "internal server error" from the sourceforge pages. So I've attached it here.
