I take the mplayer way with release candidates... :-) Actually it was a bug, that caused this bug, it was to fix the tv_grab for DVB channels, which are no longer integers. I'm keeping 1.8 series in step with 1.7 as the code is very similar it make patching easier. I would have liked to have released 1.8.0 but this won't happen until I or others have fixed all the calls from the record_client so that they use kaa.rpc and can then remove twisted from the recordserver. Hopefully, this will fix the performance problem with the 1.8 interface, as it is rather a lot slower than the 1.7 series and really noticeable on a P3. As for the numbers, well I'm just not working fast enough.
