We choosed evas for Freevo 2.0 but never got to a point integrating
it. Now with Clutter 0.6.0 out we investigate clutter as backend of
Freevo 2.0.

Stop right there. It would be a hell of work to replace the current
gui with clutter in Freevo 1.x. Maybe you could help us with Freevo
2.0 on that matter. Jason (Tack on irc) hopes to have time investigate
clutter today. You are a web designer. That is the person we need. I
know what Freevo 2.0 needs in form of python interface, Jason knows
much about layout and integrating player. If you could add some
information about what a designer needs for a theme, the team would be
complete. :) We can code but can not design.

If you have some time, join us at #freevo on irc.gnu.org. Tell us what
you have in mind of a user interface and how to write themes (the
current fxd files lack flexibility at some points). Maybe we can
create something very cool for Freevo 2.0.
