Hi, I encounter a trouble with my freevo system.
I start mostly freevo on a second X display (while using the first display as a regular terminal). The second X display is a classical SD TV, connected on the S-Video out of my Hauppauge PVR-350 card. I use the kernel delivered ivtv driver (Kernel 2.6.27.7-desktop-1mnb, ivtv and iftvfb 1.4.0), and the available ivtv_drv driver, version 1.0.1 (also tried the svn version of this driver, same result). I tough it could be related to kaa/display, so Idid remove completely kaa (and freevo) (from /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages) and did only install kaa base, kaa metadata, kaa imlib2 and freevo 1.8 from svn source. So, with or without kaa disply, the trouble : When I start to watch TV, the TV screen goes black, then goes back to the TV program. An error is generated, but is also 'trapped'. Here are the information I have : On the screen I started freevo : --------------------- Freevo 1.8.4 r11253 ready Backtrace: 0: /etc/X11/X(xf86SigHandler+0x68) [0x80e2f48] 1: [0xffffe400] 2: /etc/X11/X [0x8149863] 3: /etc/X11/X [0x81562a7] 4: /etc/X11/X(Dispatch+0x513) [0x80897d3] 5: /etc/X11/X(main+0x49d) [0x806edbd] 6: /lib/i686/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xe5) [0xb7b5c5c5] 7: /etc/X11/X(FontFileCompleteXLFD+0x23d) [0x806e0d1] Caught signal 11. (But this is useless :-) ) Any suggestion ? A way to go back to the 'Plain old OSD overlay' Mode ?
