There are two things you can do here: 1) update kaa for RPC2 updates 2) reverse dischi's client patches I've done both (1) for the test machine and (2) for the sitting room machine. The changesets for 2 are r11298 and r11299 (you should be able to use svn diff between these revisions to generate a reverse patch.
