I thought I'd poke my head in here too and thank all the devs for their
hard work over all these years. I've been using Freevo for -- as close
as I can tell -- almost a decade. I still remember the humble
beginnings, the thrill of getting video to play back from a Linux
command-line... and the countless hours spent banging my head against
brick walls, understanding why people would go out and buy a TiVO that
"just works" right out of the box.

I'll keep it short here, I already did enough damage on the user list.
Over the last few weeks I wrote a recording plugin to control the
SiliconDust HDHomerun Prime recording box, and modified other parts of
the Freevo to work with multiple tuners and handle simultaneous
recordings. More details on the other list.

Again, a heartfelt thanks to all of you. It's been so much fun and I've
learned so much in this time. I now consider Python part of my
programming "toolbox" and finally, FINALLY got my brain wrapped around
object-oriented programming. And I know it was in no small part due to
tinkering with the Freevo.

I have no plans to abandon the Freevo, especially not now that it's
finally recording and playing back in HD (it's been a long time coming).
I'm going to stick it out to the bitter end. Which due to the
open-source nature... may never actually arrive. ^_~

Cheers to you all.
