Have you simply considered a 192-256MB flash IDE Drive for your boot device.

Wow... That sounds ideal... I never knew such a thing existed. You dont have
any example links or pics you could show me do you?

I've been reading about the Freevix approach - and apparently USB 2.0 is
still very slow. Bolt on operability is not my ideal solution at this time,
but atm it seems to be all that's going...
