if you can hear the sound but not see the picture that probably means that you need to install a codec
I have ALWAYS found that this problem is due to one of two things:
(a) the user was using Windoze Media Player and not Mplayer or ZoomPlayer (b) the user needed the latest codec.
Note that there was recently a new version of DIVX within the last 2 months. Also, you should try to keep up-to-date on the XVID codec which is also popular. Finally, if you are using M$ Windoze, you should install ffdshow (see sourceforge.net)
