I too am having problems getting the capture working, but on an ATI TV Wonder VE.
I have installed ati_remote and ati.2 drivers successfully, but can get neither KM nor DRM nor avview to compile.
Xawtv -- I forced an install of this guy, but it keeps crashing with a segmentation fault
Mplayer -- tried launching "mplayer -tv form=NTSC tv://" or variations thereof and all I get are green screens.
BTTV -- doesn't like me. I get unresolved symbols errors....
Josh -- can you send me your adjusted "KM" kernel thingy?
Also, can anyone help PLEASE? I am fairly close to pulling my hair out
