There should be a freevo.conf in /etc/freevo. You can update its info by
doing 'freevo setup', which will try to locate your executables, etc.

By the way, you should have freevo-runtime installed, and probably
freevo-apps (which should have cdparanoia in the correct directory).
Lastly, you need to have a local_conf.py in /etc/freevo. (search threads
relating to missing config variable in local_conf.py in the past week or 
two).
