Hi,

I've 100GB free, and feel more at home in Linux than programming a useless old
eighties technology VCR - my mouse pointer hovers over an order page for a WinTV
PVR 350 PCI.

However - Hauppauge's tech-sales bunch say its not RF-loop through - which is a
bit annoying, as I'd like to chain the 350 card into my coax loop (Cable box->
VCR -> (new 350 card) -> TV) and be able to record off all possible
channels/watch another channel live and playback without messing with cables.
But it looks like I'll have to do that with the 350.

Anyone got any advice to help me sort my dream setup? I was guessing a WinTV PVR
USB 2.0 is loop through (so you have channels 1-6 still coming through the unit,
with an extra channel 7 from the PVR) - but being on USB makes it a Freevo no-no
doesn't it?

I suppose I should just chain it as above, and use the Hauppauge remote as the
master-channel selector, with just one signal reaching the TV. If so - can I
play-through the PVR to the TV BBC1 (for example) whilst recording BBC2 with
Freevo?

Thanks in advance for correcting/aiding my fuzzy thinking above, Cheers, Nick.
