I had a problem when I went a newer version a while back with the
weather plugin. It was redownloading the weather every time I entered a
dir. If you have in enabled, disable it and go to the new add-on weather

and now the menus are all painfully slow. The speed problem doesn't seem to be
related to the content of the menus either. 1.4.1 had some slow downs in really large
directories, but this slowdown is in all menus. I used the gentoo ebuild to compile
and install freevo, so I don't think it's a problem with my setup. There doesn't seem
to be any imporant errors in the log file or any other indication that anything is
wrong. It's just slow.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I've tried everything I can think of.
